So! The reason I've been so quiet is twofold: I am working on an original novel and Suscitatio simultaneously, and... well, the next part is the best. I'm actively working on building a brand new PC that I admit I've overengineering a bit, but it's primary intention is for the use of Blender. The only reason I stopped using Blender and making new pieces with it was because the fastest PC in the house strained at about the seventh layers of polygons and slowed to a crawl. The PC, which I just ordered the motherboard for, will be crafted specifically for 3D rendering (that means more Blender, Photoshop, and Terragen pieces coming in the near future). It'll also be a good gaming rig, but that is very much low on the priority list.
I didn't grab any of the new tech, like the X99 chipset boards or DDR4 RAM. What I am doing will suffice for a good while. It'll also have the ability to use Nvidia's SLI technology, so I could use dual graphics cards (which I'm not doing right out of the gate, but it's there for if I, possibly inevitably, need it).
I'm looking forward to creating with digital art and rendering with Blender again. It won't be for a couple of months yet, but I just wanted everyone to know what I'm up to. I'm still here (still planning to do a featured artwork journal next month, also), I still visit this site every day, still drawing, still writing, still working. It'll be good to be back once everything falls in place.
